My introduction to photography was accidental, I often took photographs as reference material for art work and one day was showing someone the most recent collection. He pointed me in the direction of the Royal Photographic Society and then having shared my images I was approached by Alamy.com for them to host and sell to customers worldwide. That was in 2003 and I've not looked back since then.

I like to capture images which need very little or no work to improve them rather than running them through correction software. This involves composing the image in the viewfinder and looking in detail all around the capture to edit the image before taking it. Some images shown here have been manipulated for the end result to be in a painterly style.
